Master James has arrived

James arrived yesterday night at 10:16 P.M. He weighed in at 8 lbs. 12.2 ozs. He was 22 inches long. He is adorable. He has done really well with breastfeeding and the pediatrician was very pleased with him this morning. We are hoping to be able to go home tomorrow morning.

I only had to push for 1 hr. and 1 min. I was a little nervous, so it took some time for me to be able to finally get the hang of pushing. It took 3 attempts to get the epidural in, but Mark (the anestisiologist) was awesome and took his time to get it in. I was ever so greatful. I have ended up with what they believe is a spinal headache. I had to options have a blood patch (which involved going back into my back) or caffeine drip. I choose the caffeine drip. It seems to be helping. I hope tonight to get some rest which may make a huge difference as well.

Well, I guess that is all from here in the hospital. We will keep you all updated once we get home.

Hey guys! Because I have been so preoccupied with Fine Arts Camp, I didn't get to come up there.

But be on the lookout. . . I'm headed your direction as soon as you get home!

Congrats. He's beautiful....and Barry almost looks comfortable holding him! :)
