We built a house!

Well, it's been a week. I'm sorry I haven't updated you on James and his acid reflux. He seems to be responding well to the medicine. We have not had near the amount of spit up that we were having. He is only taking 16-24 ounces of formula a day with the cereal in it. However, he is sleeping at least 9-11 hours a night. I had to wake him yesterday after 11 hours, because otherwise he wouldn't have gotten his three doses of medicine for the day.
I have uploaded some new pictures of James. He is changing every day.
This is James preparing for his day at Dollywood with Uncle Artie, Aunt Gwen, Cousins Egan and Quinlin. He had a blast.
Here is James playing in the lilly pad at Dreamland Forest. He enjoyed the water. He was trying to drink it.

Here is James riding the train in his backpack with Daddy. We got stopped at the top of the mountain for a mechanical "issue". So, Mommy got out the camera and snapped a picture.

Here's James on his playmat yesterday. He is trying to scoot when you lay him on his belly.

Now to the title of this post. We had "Tailgate" Sunday at church today. We had service outside, and Angie it was wonderful. I really enjoyed the worship outside the building. It was great to see all the people that showed up to help with this special project. Our church undertook the awesome task of building the walls for two Habitat for Humanity houses. We built the walls to a two-bedroom and a three-bedroom house to be put on a foundation in Sunbright, TN and Oneida, TN. It was amazing to see all of our congregation with the help of Johnson Bible College students undertake this task. We accomplished the task in under four hours. It was amazing. For those that couldn't hammer nails there were other projects inside the building (and yes it was air conditioned in there). These projects include blankets for a mission in Mexico, ornaments for the DSAG Buddy Walk, and door hangers for the Senior Citizens. There were also people working on projects that the local teachers needed done for their classrooms. We were given the opportunity to write on each of the walls for the houses. We were asked to write scriptures and/or messages for the families that would be receiving the houses. What an amazing outreach this was to our local community. Randy (our lead pastor) is hoping that a team from the church will have the opportunity to go to the home sites and help put the walls together. I think that would be amazing. Here are some pictures from our day.

Me getting to hammer nails with the help of my wonderful husband. I didn't hit his hand once.

The two-bedroom house. Barry and I helped build walls for this particular house. He also helped build a wall with the McRary's for the three-bedroom house.

All and all it was an amazing day. We are exhausted and sunburned, but it is certainly worth it. James got to hangout in the nursery with his new buddy Carson and, of course, "Aunt" Megan and "Uncle" Adam.

I will try to blog again tomorrow. We decorated James's nursery yesterday with lots of frog stuff, so I will try to get some pictures tonight to show everyone tomorrow. Have a great Sunday evening. We are trying to rest and recover.

I love the pics -- and I am assuming Baby James' daddy is happy that the Steelers won...?

Thanks for your kind words about the service. It really was fun! Of course, it should always be that fun -- and we're gonna have to teach that 9:00 crowd how to loosen up. Maybe I should just threaten to take them back outside???
