Another Wild Week with pictures

Another wild week has come and gone. I hope this one is a little slower for us, but it sure doesn't appear to be starting out that way. Barry and I had a very busy weekend with our little one this last weekend. We drove to Greenback, Tennessee, on Saturday to go to this really awesome consignment shop. Aunt Gwen had called earlier in the day to tell us they had lots of little boy pants...which James was in desperate need of. So, we decided it was worth the gas to drive down there, and it was certainly worth the trip. We left there with 10 pairs of pants, 4 or 5 pajamas, and a riding toy (for Christmas). We then stopped and visited with Uncle Artie, Aunt Gwen, and Cousins Egan & Quinlin. Thank goodness Quinlin is beginning to feel better. We went out to dinner with them and then started towards home with a stop by "Uncle" Adam and "Aunt" Megan's for our Sunday school curriculum. On Sunday, we went to church and then headed to downtown Knoxville for Buddy Walk in support of our buddy Caroline. Barry and I went down early to help Mark and Angie set up for the walk. "Uncle" Adam and "Aunt" Megan brought James down after church and a little break. Then it was off to Babies R Us for new big boy carseats. James is quickly outgrowing his carrier, so Barry and I decided it was time to buy him new carseats. We bought two...one for Adam's car and one for my car. Barry's parents sent us one for his truck. We stopped by "Uncle" Adam's and put the new carseat and mirror into his car. He is all set after a little minor adjustment (They had the strap going through the wrong hole which made it difficult to latch in the system correctly. Of course, I didn't notice it until they had been struggling with the thing for almost 20 minutes or so. Oops!!). Then Adam helped Barry put the seat in my car. It went in just fine. Although, when we got home with James in it we couldn't get the straps loose to get him out of it. Then this morning it took me 45 minutes to get the straps tight which resulted in me being late, Barry getting screamed at by phone, and my hands being bloody and cut up. Needless to say it went back to Babies R Us tonight, and we bought the identical twin to the one in Adam's car. It works a whole lot better.

Here are some new pictures of James. Please enjoy. He is growing like a weed. He will be 4 months on Sunday...wow has the time flown. He is beginning to get his own personality. We still aren't sure on the color of his eyes or hair. I still think he is going to have blue eyes, but we aren't so sure about the hair color.
This is James last night after the Buddy Walk. He was sound asleep on the recliner.

This is James the other night when he was trying to crawl. He just about could have it down if he figured out what to do with his arms and hands. He does a real good "Army" crawl when he gets mad.

This is James with Carmen during the Princess Day/Dart Wars event at church. The picture below is James holding daddy's dart gun. He looked ready to play...had he not been sound asleep.

This is James yesterday morning in his official Buddy Walk shirt. Marsha Cunningham so kindly send us the design. It was similar to our placards that we wore, and Caroline's shirt. The line at the bottom was unique and said "I am Caroline's little buddy".

James and Caroline before the walk began. Caroline always asks when she sees us, "Where's Baby James?" Here she is checking in on him as he sleeps before the walk. We did manage to get a really good picture of the two of them after the walk. It was wonderful...but not the one on our camera.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures. James is trying to sit up on his own and wants to stand every opportunity that we give him. He is turning over now from his stomach to his back. He hasn't quite made it from his back to his stomach. He can get up on his side, but then he falls back down on his back. He'll get mad enough one of these days and make it the whole way over.

Well, we hope you enjoy your week. We hope to blog more often, once I finally get in a routine. You would think after 7 weeks of school, I would have this routine down by now. Not so much! Oh well! Enjoy this beautiful fall weather.

I'm a little confused by the comment being pulled. . . but nonetheless. :)

I'm glad that James is Caroline's little buddy! We had a great time -- and after a couple days' rest, I'm back in my crazy life mode! :)
