We had a great weekend visiting with Karen, Doug and Sarah. Karen, Doug, and Sarah flew in on Saturday afternoon for a long weekend to see James. It was so much fun. When they got here on Saturday, we hung out for a little while and then ventured to church for the Children's Ministry Team Volunteer Appreciation dinner. After that we came home, and Sarah and I watched "Winnie the Pooh Boo to You" movie. Yesterday, Barry, James and I went to church in the morning. Then we all went to Dollywood where we were supposed to meet up with Arthur, Gwen, and the boys. We never did meet up with them. They were done playing in Country Fair when we got there and then when they were ready to eat dinner, Sarah was still riding rides in Country Fair. So, we didn't manage to meet up with them. Today I went to school for the morning and then came home for lunch before they had to leave for the airport. Daycare was closed today for the holiday, so Karen agreed to watch James this morning for me. She didn't have to watch him, since Barry stayed home and called in sick.
Barry went to the doctor this afternoon. He has yet another inner ear infection and bronchitis according to the discharge papers. So, he is going to be on an antibiotic and other stuff for the next week or so. He will go back to work tomorrow.
Barry received the news last week that we had suspected for a few days. Sea Ray has decided to furlough its hourly employee for the next two months. He works this week and next week and then he is off until January 5, 2009. We are a little worried about finances in this ever worsening economy. We survived the furlough in July when neither of us was getting paid, so I think we will be okay with this furlough. Especially since I am receiving a normal check. Please pray about this situation we are facing. It is even more difficult, since we have James to worry about as well. At least Sea Ray is paying their medical insurance through this furlough.
Well, I guess that is all from our neck of the woods. I will try to upload some new pictures soon. Until then have a great week!
